Quality Systems said to make progress on potential sale

June 16, 2017

Quality Systems’ (NASDAQ: QSII) takeover prospects are said to be improving and the company is making progress toward reaching an agreement to be acquired, according to a source.

Last year, the company, which provides software to the ambulatory care market, reportedly hired UBS to explore a sale. After some ebbs and flows over the past several quarters, traction is now being made on hammering out a deal.

It is unclear who the prospective buyers are, but in the past potential suitors were seen as Allscripts (NASDAQ: MDRX), Cerner (NASDAQ: CERN), Medhost, and Greenway Health.
